I have had my best luck with accuracy in the .308 with Rel 15 , Varget,and Norma 202.

Outside at night, I feel more in control with my 12ga. with #4 buck.Once the adrenaline starts to flow I might not be able to hit anything with a handgun of rifle.Not at night anyway.

Looking at 12ga buckshot for HD, I really don't care much for 00. There is not enough of them. A man might walk through that pattern at 50 yds. Let him try it with #4 Buck. :wink: We have killed deer at 60 yds with the #4 buck in a 3" mag with a full choke.

Yep, neck sizing is the way forward if you aren't interchanging the loads in other guns.

When I was a kid I use to go to a local gun shop that had a pre64 model 70 in .264win. I always thought that it would be the ultimate antelope cartridge. Good luck with your new rifle,and by all means lets us know how it shoots.

Thanks for the head up. This is a great buy. I shoot lead bullets and leading can be a major problem at times.It can be very hard to remove. After doing some research ,there is a good consensus that Kroil works great in getting under and removing lead.This will be a big help. Thank much!

I usually wait several minuets between shots even with my .308 win.

Just pick up one of these. It has some good data for a broad range of calibers,and some loads not found in other manuals.

I think it was a mistake for Nosler to discontinue the .458 300 grain partitions. That was the best 300 grain .45/70 bullet going.There are a lot of people that shoot .45/70's. Also, a limited run of .405win 350 grain partitions would be nice.Especially with the revival of the old round. Lyman...
