    Gunsmith RUINED my Model 70...

This is not as uncommon as you would think. There is another thread on Snipers Hide in the gunsmith section with the same hole in the chamber. This one happened when they were building a brand new rifle. It blew a hole in the brass but caused no injuries. This should have been an easy fix...

    G20

No problem reusing you Glock fired brass. I have some that have been reused 30+ times. I run them until I can't find them. The ones to avoid reloadis if they are split or they get a signifigant buldge that when resized leaves a shiney spot on the side of the brass. I would toss those and...

    G20

Hi Jeff, Great choice for a trail gun. I used my ODG20 to replace my 5" 629 Classic. It's much lighter and still packs a heck of a punch. It's a whole lot easier to clean too. I shoot 9.4 grains of Longshot lit by CCI-350's with 180 grain XTP's set at 1.260" and get 1325fps out of my G20...

    HELP WITH .300 WBY MAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I found that my 200 grain Accubond worked best at 3.700" oal. They will feed from the magazine fine at 3.7". The load shoots in the .2" to .3" in my skim bedded Accumark. 85.5 grains of imr7828 goes 3160 fps out of Weatherby brass using CCI-250 primers. I started out at 3.64 and they shot .7...

    WHAT ACCUBOND SHOULD BE NEXT?

I have to agree. The big 338's are coming on strong. We really need a 250 grain Accubond. After that some 275 and 300 grainers with really high BC would have a steady following. I'm sure Weatherby would load their 338-378Wby factory ammo with 250 Accubonds if they could get them.

What is the best case lube?

The RCBS spray lube is top notch. I spray from a distance to just barely get a trace on the upper part of the cases and it works great. Much more convenient than rubbing it on with your fingers. One little can should last about 10,000 cases. That said I switched all my loading over to Lee...

    .257 Weatherby Magnum

To do it slightly better in a 257 Wby I would drop the bullet weight to 100 grain bullets. Balistic tips are very explosive at close range. I personally use 100 grain Partitions or TSX's. This will allow you to reach 3650 fps which will flatten your trajectory quite a bit. With the tougher...

    110 Accubond feedback

AggieDog, I checked your post. Very impressive. I think I will try a can. I still want to back up and try IMR-4831, H-4831SC , RL-22. I'm having a hard time getting the consistant accuracy that I'm looking for. Right now I only get a worthy target about 1 out of 5 groups. I have 50 more...

    110 Accubond feedback

Turns out that 75 grains of RL-25 was the top. At 76 grains the velocity backed up to 3525 and the bolt had just a bit of drag and the primers were flattened. I tried 76.5 and the velocity jumped up to 3589 with the same drag and primer but a slight extractor mark over the 76 grain load. On...

    110 Accubond feedback

It seems to be. The acceleration curve is fairly smooth and stable as the powder charges are increased. No reason to stop yet. The spike at 73 grains on the first shot I think the bore must not have been completely dry. I was cleaning while the barrrel cooled. If I don't run into pressure...

    110 Accubond feedback

So far so good. It's showing promise in my 26" 257 Wby Accumark. .401" 3 shot group. Weather was clear and 45 degrees. Work up Load: Weatherby brass neck sized with Lee die. CCI-250 primer 75 Grains of RL-25 OAL 3.330 Velocity 3565 fps --- ES 23 fps This is a very mild load in my rifle. I...

What Kind Of Accuracy Are You Getting With Partitions?

4320 is not really the right powder for 180 grain bullets. I'm thinking your extreme spread must be huge with only 60 grains in that case. Have you tried IMR4831 or RL-22 or if you have a 26" barrel try some IMR7828. Your looking to get the case as full as possible and still get your...

What Kind Of Accuracy Are You Getting With Partitions?

Doh! I stand corrected. In a good way though. I never did use a calculator. I did that over a month ago and have shown a couple people. You are the first one to catch it. I have no idea how I came up with .351" If I had known it was really .261 I'm not sure I would have published it. Now...

7 MAG GROUPS FOR THE DAY

That is some nasty personal page you got there. Ha Ha. Good shooting.

What Kind Of Accuracy Are You Getting With Partitions?

My last group of 180 Partitions out of my 300WBY shot .351 for 3 shots at 3260 fps out of a 23" barrel. My 25-06AI does this on average with 100 grain Partitions. The trick for me was switching to Lee Collet dies. Note:.569" outside - .308" = .351" center to center. Seeing is believing.
