Sorting ABLR’s to the nearest thousandth eliminated flyers for me completely. Now they are predictable with seating depth changes and have been tight on targets, at the short/medium ranges.

Just ordered another batch of ABLR for my 6.5 Mega. 129grs and they will be on high speed pursuit, maxed out with regular 130AB’s earlier at 3505fps.

Tried ABLR’s last year myself for the 1st time. Results on paper and meat left nothing to be desired.

Shoot heavy for caliber if you use the Elite Hunter or Hybrid Target. And I stay off the shoulder. Frangibles aren’t terrible with a higher SD and a lot of mass, but I still prefer Accubonds or BT Hunting. Lately I’ve begun to explore mid weight monos also. So far so good.

If a rifle won’t group with a BT….. figure out what’s wrong with the setup!

At that velocity the BT Hunting will be well behaved, predictable and boringly precise as usual!

I don’t understand the re- release of a bullet that expands and penetrates exactly like a current offering, is it just nostalgia? Or are they trying to sell to the guys that are scared to use “Ballistic Tips” from the reputation of the early version maybe?
