I just bought the identical rifle because I didn't have a 30-06 and "needed" one. I put a Leupold VX-3HD in 3.5-10x 44 on it. I haven't fired it yet but will take it and the new Nosler M48 in 26 Nosler to the range soon and get them both sighted in.

My stepdad has one and it's a "bang flop" on deer with any type of decent bullet placement.

I know this is an old post, but I have the identical rifle and scope setup. How do you like it and is there any way to mount the scope closer to the shooter?

I burned out a barrel on a Remington 700 BDL in 375 RUM firing 260 gr Accubonds. (I started buying ballistic tip ammo because it was the cheapest 375 caliber ammo I could find) and when they stopped selling that and made the Accubonds I stayed with them. My solution was a PacNor 28" ultra match...

I know this is an old post, but I seems that in December 2021 they called off the merger because the FTC wouldn't have approved it!
