QL for 300 weatherby with a 208 grain hornady eld

I have been using re26 in my 220 swift pushing 75 a-max's around 3500, and have been getting great results. Smallest 5 shot group measured .156 center to center at widest point. SD's are fantastic as well at higher pressures with powder level being around the base of the neck. SD for that load...

IMR 7977 load for 115 gr. Berger VLDH in .25-06

I cannot help you there, but I can comment on the 115 bergers out of a 2506. I did not have that much luck getting them to shoot well, and being as the factory twist only provided marginal stabilization I dont believe that I would have been able to get the full bc value out of them. This was...

QL for 6.5-06 a-square with 130 grain berger hybrid

I am having a rifle built that should be done here soon, off of a remington 700 action. I am having the action trued and having a bartlein stainless barrel installed, ground recoil lug, and a B&C m40 stock that I will bed myself. A timney trigger will replace the factory. But I want to get ahead...

QL for 300 weatherby with a 208 grain hornady eld

I am looking to load up my 300 weatherby with some 208 hornady eld's and of course cannot find any info. Would somebody please run a QL for this cartridge/bullet combo? Thanks

    More 264 Win Mag Questions

Sorry, I do not mean to hijack this thread, but I have a bit of brass for the 264 and tragically had to sell my build before I got to shoot it and wasnt given the chance to buy it back. I think I have about 150 pueces of brass or so, if any of you are interested. I will unload them cheap.

Range day yielded some decent groups...

Yea, at 1200 yards the tailwinds were causing the bullet to lift a LOT. like 6 moa or more. It was apparently pushing up the side of the ridge and causing an updraft. Very cool to shoot it and experience it. And thanks guys, I like to think I can shoot on occasion

    working a load , 300wby

I have had tough luck with my 300 weatherby getting much under 1/2 an inch. Mostly will do 1 inch groups. Keep in mind the freebore in factory weatherby cartridges, you will not be able to reach out to the lands. Neck sizing helps. Also do not be afraid to try different powders. I am loving...

Range day yielded some decent groups...

Went to the range with a couple buddies that have also been bitten with the long range bug. Started out shooting a couple of test groups where I adjusted seating depth in my 220 swift build. The load already was shooting 5 shot groups just over .3 inches, but I am always chasing the bughole...

QL for 340 wby and Reloader 26

If I was so inclined i think I would just convert it to a 338 allen. That is IF I had money falling out of my ears lol. I already have a lot of brass and whatnot for this rifle. I designed it to be my 800 yard elk gun... the 2000 yard match is just me pushing its limits and having fun with it.

QL for 340 wby and Reloader 26

And I did build it with a little bit of freebore, not nearly as much as the factory weatherby. Custom ordered a reamer from ptg. Still enough to shoot the factory weatherby stuff safely. But i can seat the bullets a helluva lot closer to the landa for accuracy.

QL for 340 wby and Reloader 26

The problem with the 250s is that by the time you get out that far, the 300 is beating them.

QL for 340 wby and Reloader 26

I was hoping 26 would be a bit faster than that... grrr
