    Cheap .30cal Heavyweights

That's a good buy on those bullets! I've gotten some things off of them. If you watch you can get some really good deals.

    Really???

If there's gouging going on it's not the retailer in most cases. New lots of IMR powders that came in are running $65-low $70's about anywhere you look including local shops. It obviously took a big jump across the board. Why that is.........who knows the full answer. But where the retailers are...

    Enough is Enough?

I've been keeping tabs on prices like the rest of you I imagine. Prices certainly have taken another big jump. Locally things like Varget, H4350, etc are running $50-$52. The IMR powders went crazy. $65 seems to be the norm for most of them. I haven't been buying, been using what I got. I did...

    Factory Ammo primers?

Interesting. Certainly looks like a CCI primer to me. So either Federal is using CCI primers in their factory ammo, or else they use a different run or identifier for primers in their factory ammo than what they do as a stand alone reloading component.

    Ramshot Hunter

Another powder that took a big jump in price, although still cheaper than others. It and BG were around $28 a lb when available here locally just fall of last yr, now it's $39. $10-$11 per lb jump.

    Enough is Enough?

Jim, I've used a pill bottle for carrying 22 shells when using them for hunting since about as long as I can remember. Even when packed in packs like you're showing. They inevitably ended up opening up sometime during my walking for sq's or whatever, and I'd have a vest pocket full of loose...

    Enough is Enough?

I'm still shooting using up my current supplies, but powder prices currently after another big jump are absolutely disgusting. Guess when the time comes I'll have to sell off some things I'm not using to buy more powder and keep shooting. I'm not laying out $400-$500 of my spending money for a...

    Anybody in the far North

Glad they arrived safe and sound Lefty. I just checked the tracking # today and seen it said customer picked up package from the post office so I knew it was delivered. Hope they are a part of some successful hunts and memories in the future. (y)

    Anybody in the far North

Yes sir. Was looking for somebody that used the 348 for hunting, and preferably for big game. You fit the bill and need bullets. Perfect fit.

    Anybody in the far North

Congrats Lefty. I have plenty and tis the season. PM me your address and you have a full box of Hornady 200 gr coming your way on me. Merry Christmas!

    Anybody in the far North

Alaska, Canada, or even lower 48 that hunts with the 348 and uses the Hornady 200 gr FP running low? Just curious.

    Tough hunting season but thankful.

Thanks, it took it. There's deer in the county, just not here this yr for whatever reason. The second Thursday we had snow....I left my house and walked 3.5 miles on a loop on both sides of the ridge here. Cut 1 little deer track and I didn't even follow it because I figured a little deer by...

    Tough hunting season but thankful.

Deer sightings were few and far between. They just disappeared around here for whatever reason. Wasn't seeing them in the fields in the evenings in the area and even when crops were cut in the beginning and during the rut, zero activity. Some guys think a batch of coyotes has them run out of the...

    32 Remington

Jim, I just jumped on here and seen this. I have a Speer # 11 manual that is showing a page for the 170 gr FP for a 32 Winchester Special & the 32 Remington on the same page. In other words the same load data for both? Hodgdon online data has load data for the 32 Winchester Special, but you will...

    Whatcha Think!

I shot this 4064 that was given to me with no issues, still have a little bit of it left. The can is in great shape and it did not have rust inside at all, but it's an OLD can of powder. I have not shot the 4320 yet, it's an old can also but based on the looks of it is not as old as the 4064.

    Whatcha Think!

I'm with RL and XP. If it looks and smells fine use it without worries, and if at all possible move it to a clean empty container. I've used powders in old cans given to me with rust on the inside of the can. What I discovered with the first can is that pouring it out, then the remainder back...

    Garmin Chronograph

I borrow a buddies Pro Chrono when I need one as he hardly ever uses it, but I hate borrowing stuff and been thinking about getting my own for some time now. I liked that I could shoot groups unaffected by checking speeds with the pro-chrono, but it did take a bit to set up. This thing looks...

    Powder valley big game

Available here for $32.99. Maybe it's older stock that wasn't used up yet, don't know? Not as cheap as Ramshot powders but certainly way cheaper than Varget or IMR 4064 is currently. Right now because I have plenty of it for the time being, I'm substituting H4895 at a lower charge in place...

    Powder valley big game

True, but not at Ramshot pricing, but not hateful prices either so it is an option. I've never used Accurate brand powders. If Ramshot would fill that gap I'd look to building up with them as my exclusive powder. They are available here, particularly at the 1 shop, and cheap.

    Factory Ammo.

They had WLR primers. $75 a brick. Been quite a while since I seen LR show up, SR and pistol primers have been available for some time now, but no new LR coming in. So that was a welcome sight also. Of course with the world seemingly on fire right now, it could be an anomaly and when they're...
