I took my first deer with a muzzle loader this Dec. I used a Nosler 260 grain sabot partion-HG bullet. I can't seem to find these bullets anywhere on the Nosler bullets page. Where can I get them? Do they make them anymore? I would really like some more. The Part No. on the package is 50261...
This may be a dumb  question......... How much less than the case length dimension (given in the reloading manual) do you trim your brass.
I am reloading for a .257 Roberts, the case length in the manual is 2.233" Do I trim to that dimension or a couple of thousandths less?
Thanks.
I grew up in the same town as Bryce and we hunted and fished together in our younger years.
I won't debate his knowledge but I will say that he tells a good "story"
I will be loading up some 110 AB for my 257 Roberts. Went to the range a couple weeks ago to see if the rifle was still shooting well. It was. But I burned up last years deer loads so now I need to replace them. Hopefully I will get to put an AB into a deer this year. I have used Partions in the...
On the news this morning a hunter was shot, the other guy thought he was shooting at a buck.
 BULL$hit! In our state a deer must have a minimum of three points and a point must be at least one (1) inch in length. That guy didn't know or even care if it was a buck he was just shooting...
8) 8) What a great hunt. That moose is quite impressive! Thanks for telling us the story and sharing the pictures. Always like to see how the bullets preform.
My son is shooting a 270 that I have loaded with 130 grain AB and I'm shooting a 257Rob with 110 AB. I'm hoping one of us will take a deer this season (starts Nov 15) so I can see how this bullet preforms. I've used Nosler for years and have had good luck with all the Nosler bulets I've tried...
This may be a dumb question, but, why do some of my guns have more copper in the barrles after shooting the others? Assume the same number of rounds are fired in each gun.
I shot my .257 last week and there was a lot more copper than in my sons 270 that I shot last night. Both guns shot Nosler...
Yup, the newest Nosler manual has reloading data for the 110AB. I'm in the process of finding load that my 257 likes with the 110AB. Currently I'm trying the H4831sc. If you go to the Forum Index and go to reloading data there is some data there for the 257 Roberts.
What a great site!
I am getting ready to do some load work too and here I find this post. Some great info to help me out!!!!
Can't wait to get out there and start putting holes in some paper. Hopefully this weekend.
I posted a while back that my wife bought me a cronograph for my B-day.
This...
My wife gave me a Chronograph for my B-day.
So, besides finding out how fast a bullet goes with a paticular load, what do you do with it. Asked in a little more serious manner, how do you us the info you get from the cronograph to improve your reloads.
does that make sense?
Thanks, that's some great info. I never thought about the fawn distress call but that's really a good idea.
Looks like our hunt will be delayed. One of the guys I was going with lost his father yesterday.
