Looking to load a reduced load fot daughter in her axis rifle, darn thing kicks to much for her. I have varget , h 4350, r17, in what I think will be the best. I do have others and will take all info offered.

It's been about 5 years, but the the be finally got a chance to reach out and strike a elk. Shot was only about 350 yards, but I was happy with the results. A dead cow downed with a 100 ttsx barnes bullet and only about 15 yards and flop dead all with in 10 seconds.

This load in on of my altered 303 Brits I had made up for family, this I might let one of the girls use.

In my family hunting party we have 4 Moose draws, 3 cow elk draws, 4 mule deer draws, everything we applied for but the bison draw, that's including all the whitetail tags and bear tags, crazy eh ?

Picked uo the 140 hornaby flex tip for the 30-30 and not sure where to start, have h-335,h-4895, bl-c2, and varget powders handy.Just a little slow on just where to start,any help would be welcome. :?

Noticed cabelas has federal brass, always had problem getting in years past, gave up trying. Is their brass still good or going the way of Winchester brass, any opinions ?
