I just purchased a savage 110 in 300 wsm that I'm really looking forward to start reloading for and I'd like to hear what loads you guys are using in your 300 wsm's. I have some 180 grain accubonds that I plan on starting with, and I also have 8 pounds of 7828 that I hope will work in this rifle.

I plan on mostly going after dall sheep and caribou. I will have a moose tag in my pocket as well.

I ran into the same thing a few years ago so I switched to the ballistic silver tip. The sst is also a great option.

I use both. H380 has been my favorite for my 243 since the day I started loading for that rifle.

I've been using IMR4831with 95gr sst for a few years. 42.5gr is the max listed in the hornady manual. I get 2900 with a 20 inch barrel

I got to test a couple loads in my 300 win mag this week. I also tried one a couple weeks ago that didn't work out, which was RL25 and 180 grand slams. I just tried Rl 25 the other day and got similar speeds but my group was not quite as good.

Shot these into a birch log at 60 yards. Muzzle velocity was 3050fps

Remington model 700 limited edition 300 Win Mag that I recently purchased hopefully shooting the 180 gr grand slam, and my 1895 marlin 45-70 with the 300 gr tsx

I was very surprised to recover the bullet. The entrance was just behind the shoulder and I found the bullet against the hide right behind the last rib on the off side.

How well did the interlocks hold together at that speed?

I recovered this from a whitetail buck shot with my 280 rem. Muzzle velocity 2970 and the distance was 100 yards. Didn't hit any heavy bones

Rl 22 seems to be a favorite for the 300 win. I haven't seen it on shelves in quite some time though
