I have a Ruger American Ranch chambered in 7.62x39 I have loaded the 123gr Nos VG tipped FB with very good results using Accurate 1680.
I mentioned to samurai Mike I wish you guys would offer a bullet suitable for deer, and I got my wish twice, now I'm hoping for some 2nds so I can afford to...

I'm trying to understand the coriolis effect, I can imagine shooting south at long range the bullet impacting to the right of POA, and when shooting west the POI would be low and right of POA and to...
For long range shooting naval cannons can shoot over 20 miles. The coriolis effect and spin drift are accounted for in the firing solution.
My question is, why are most rifles for long range shooting usually right twist? In the northern hemisphere a left twist barrel would help offset the...
I have a Ruger American Ranch chambered in 7.62x39, I have had Great results with the Nosler 123 gr VG .310" dia.
I would like to see a heavier bullet for this cartridge that would be suitable for deer hunting. I notice that ABLR is effective at lower velocities, so would a 140-150 gr bullet...
Sorry if this has been covered here to many times, I understand that a certain barrel twist is required to stabilize a certain length of bullet. But how does the bullets velocity play into this equation?
Say I have a 1:9 223 rem. that will not stabilize a 77 gr bullet at any distance @ 2,600...
Hi Mike, I load for 45acp and rarely need to trim it, manufactures keep cases the headspace off the case mouth at the proper length. Revolver brass is a different story, sized case length can vary enough to to make roll crimping a PITA.
The primers should seat below the case head at least a few...
I think shot placement should be the primary consideration, a well placed shot from a .32 or .380acp will be more effective than a miss from a 500 S&W.
WLP's are magnum/Lg pistol primers, I haven't clocked these loads but when I sub WLP for upper end loads worked up with a standard large primers I will back the charge off a bit.
I have very good results in my Colt ser 70 gov with the NOSCC45185 JHP with 6.2gr of W-231 and WLP or 6.5gr W-231 and Fed 150 C.O.L. 1.206 with a very slight crimp, to much taper crimp will begin to deform the nose of the bullet giving inconsistent seating.
