Picked up a 9mm Shield last week. After shooting it a bit the past few days I think this one is a keeper. So far the gun has been flawless.

I carry a S&W M&PC in .40 S&W and I really like it, but I'm thinking about making it just a bedside gun and getting a 9mm shield for CC.
I like the platform. It's smaller, lighter, and in 9mm it should be a lot more controllable than the .40, plus I have dies and brass just waiting for another 9 in the household.
I can shoot the .40 pretty accurately in quick controlled firing. But I can't shoot those fast doubles and triples accurately like I could with the 9. Just to much sharp recoil.
Shooting the .44 mag. one slow shot at a time is a lot different than shooting that .40 real quick for 2 or 3 shots.
Getting a shield is gonna mean more holsters. After all these years I have a stack of old holsters gathering dust.
