A range trip need not take a lot of time, or gear, to be productive. This morning I tossed a box of ammo, eye & ear protection, a stapler and a dozen paper plates into the tank bag. Slapped that bag on the Suzuki and motored over to the North Central Washington Gun Club. Stapled up a few targets and worked my way through the box of ammo.
Purpose was to work on the draw from concealment, and make quick 1-3 shot responses. Mission accomplished. All in about an hour, including drive time. Then I made a real nice little ride through the countryside before coming back home for lunch!
Just a quick range session, with purpose. Work on a skill or two at a time. Shoot safe. Shoot well.
Two or three hours, a pile of gear, five or six guns and three hundred rounds of ammo is NOT required for quality training. In fact, I think all that "extra" stuff is a detriment. Train with purpose.
Regards, Guy
