Sure put a grin on my face!

Yesterday I was waiting for a fellow at the range, we were going to get him acquainted with his new AR-15 rifle. I figured I had about 15 min before he showed, so I grabbed all my loaded 1911 mags and a couple more boxes of 230 gr "hardball" and headed to the 15 yard line.

Stapled up a mess of 8" paper plates.

Started shooting. No more than two or three shots on any one target before shifting. Usually two. Changed mags on the go. Shifted positions between bursts of fire or anytime I reloaded.

Crammed cartridges into spent mags. Shot 'em again.

A few minutes later the ol' Kimber was smokin' hot. The Attack of the Paper Plates had been repulsed and there was calm at the range. And I was grinning. Dang that was fun. Back to the loading press now.

Way to go, Guy. Staying on the leading cusp of defensive shooting.

One box was factory Rem ammo. There went about $20...

I haven't stopped to figure the cost of my handloads in a while. Not sure I want to know... They all shot good though. Zero malfunctions. Mostly I hit, unless I tried to push the pace between targets a little too much.

Oh man, that sounds like fun.
I shot my Kimber earlier this week. Pretty easy to hit targets out to 30 yds so long as I don't try blazing away.
