Hunting with my .480

Killed these two fat does with my .480 SRH. One was 20 yards the other about 60 yards. Both were DRT. I used the 375gr CPB. Worked very well.

That looks like quite the hand cannon for big game hunting. I have often thought about picking up one of those 480 SRH and cutting it back to 5” for an easier carrying big game backup. Very impressive ballistics. Seems to have done a great job on those does.

What I have found is that the 7.5" SRH pretty much duplicates the 5.5" Converted Blackhawk .475 Linbaugh.
