7 Rem Mag 140 PT Vs. 140 AB

I shot a 140 AB and 140 PT both into jugs today for a comparison. Both pushed by 69 grains or RL-22. This yields about 3100fps in my rifle.
The AB was found in the fifth jug, the PT in the 6th.
The AB weighed 93.2 after and the PT 99.3grains This equates to 66.6 and 71% retained weight.
The AB is slightly wider at .573 than the PT .540. The PT went a jug deeper.
Both have taken many whitetails out of this rifle and both have performed flawlessly.





I like them both..

I agree and you cannot go wrong with either one! They work every single time you pull the trigger and have never let me down.

Both are great bullets in the 7mm Mag.

Nothing wrong with the data presented. Either bullet will serve you well in the 7 RM.

But ............ the AccuBond has a better BC and tends to be more accurate, at least in most of my rifles.

The AccuBond shoots a LOT better in my WSM, But my 7 RM prefers the Partition.

Funny you should say that, Dano. My experience mirrors yours. The 7WSM shoots the 160 grain AB quite well and the 7RM prefers either the 160 or 175 PT.

I have shot large bucks with both. At 7mm mg velocities I like the deeper penetration of the. Partition. Accuracy and trajectory have been moot points to 400 yards between the two

Great test Dano. Both are good Bullets in the 7's.

I really think it'll come down to what shoots best.
