Hey Guys, I'm hoping someone may be able to run a quickload for me please. I'm getting some numbers on the chrono that aren't adding up to the manual and want to stop and do a double check before I continue.
I'm using Accurate 2015 with 225 Partitions and max book is 53gr for 2621 fps. Just started my work up and I'm up to 50.5gr and 2 shots were 2708/2691fps respectively. Which was about a 200fps jump from 50gr. I may have a hot batch of powder but that's a heck of a jump for .5gr difference in powder. Brass/primers all look fine and no heavy bolt lift but I'd just like to double check. Going to back off a bit and try to find a node though not sure it'll be there with a jump like that.

Only thing different in my equation than book is the primer. They're using CCI 250's.

The 350 RM was a personal favourite cartridge. It hits hard and always generated good accuracy. I used the 200 grain TSX most often in this cartridge, which developed good velocities and excellent accuracy.

AA2015 is a good powder choice. You can get more velocity from some other powders, but the accuracy was always good for me with that powder. I recently sold my 350 RM, but I still have the data generated. When I shot 225 grain PT with AA2015, I was using CCI250. Velocity was not as high as some report, but the accuracy was good. I did achieve higher velocities with some other powders, but AA2015 did give me the best accuracy. Velocities with AA2015 were in the 2500 fps range, which is plenty good for moose, elk, grizzly, and about anything smaller. Using the F215M, you may see a slight increase in velocity since the primer generates a greater brisance, but I wouldn't think it would be significant.

I can't explain the massive jump in velocity, but if there are no pressure signs, I wouldn't be terribly concerned. It would have been more comforting for you if you had five shots and all were within a solid standard deviation. However, the two may be suggesting you are on the right track.

That quickload is definitely closer to what I'm seeing vs the book. I'll knock her back and work back up in smaller increments to see what she shows me. Not looking to get sub moa out of this one, more like minute of moose at 100 for this fall. Anything safe with decent speed and accuracy will work for me.

I certainly had sub MOA loads with my 350 RM and 225 grain PT. As I said, I ultimately opted for the 200 grain TSX which managed to tag quite a few animals. It did produce some excellent accuracy (0.3 MOA) which gave me a fair degree of confidence.

Just wanted to let you know she came around nicely Doc. Settled at 50.3 grains and running right at 2490fps avg which is fine with me.

Gentlemen,
I was hoping one of you fine fellows might run another set of numbers for me on my 350 Rem Mag. The 225 Partitions I use for the woods are harder to find than hens teeth these days so I want to save them for that use. Found a good deal on some other projectiles so would like to work up a "plinking" round for the rifle.

That is some great shooting. Huge fan of 35 calibers and the 350 RM always seemed to be a winner to me.
