Thanks for clearing that issue up! That all makes sense for sure! One side of me wants to always lean towards higher BC bullets like the spire pt or FTX style. BUT: in reality, for the actual distances that are practical for a 35 Remington, 150 yds/ 200 as a streach??? I think it may be silly to...
Not sure on the FTX but on the Hornady 200 gr Spire Pt Standards, I recently have found out, the canulure won't even come close to letting me crimp in it; for my old 141 Remington. With cases trimed to 1.910 and crimped in canulure, the coal was 2.550/5, however that will NOT cycle thru this...
I have these and others in 250 gr , looking for 180/220 Speers, 200 gr what ever?? Have lots of other calibers new boxes ready to trade????? Whatcha got for .358 stuff.
Tnx.

This is one of the best scams ever launched against the American people.
If you can't get their guns, what is the same thing, take away the "primers" you have accomplished the same thing! The big boys have made back room deals to forbid the sale of primers, the great lie has been, they largest...
Here are primers bought the same day I bought the 250gr Speers .
I know I was buying primers then when I had a Hazmat order for $25 per thousand...... 😱
We used to hunt snowy days tracking whitetails in the 70's/80's with Savage 1899 and Lyman tang sight. But by 90's we were using low power Scopes like 1.5/5 power. This fall I am going to regress back to hunting "the old way".
Either the 141 Remington in .35 Rem with 200gr bullets @ 2200fps. Or...
Let's hope you all get a better one, than this little Bambi.......... ( I bet you don't)...
Lol

This is proof western Canada don't have all the big ones, this is the new record buck from Nova Scotia!

Do yourself a huge favor and get it over....... Been through this toooo many times. Only regret is not doing sooner and watching them suffering terrible because I wasn't man enough to let them outta here the easy way.
Now I don't try to get to the end the hard way...... Sleep alot better and...
That is another beautiful rifle. I can certainly see why you are a Henry guy!
Well good to hear your still able to do the open sights, I am ok with a tang sight but rear sight on barrel is about out of the question for me anymore, looking forward to seeing how it will shoot those old 300gr...
If a guy handloads; there are some huge advantages over the 25/06 with a 6.5x06. The bullet selection is incredible compared to your options with the old .257..... That and the fact the twist most 25/06 barrels is hopeless to stabilize most of the custom bullets that would have much higher BC...
Tnx Charlie,
Will probably hunt it with 325's at 1900.
But plan on plinking with it downloaded with Berry's bullets down around 15/1600 to drop recoil waaaay down so it's more fun!
I promise to get it scratched up asap so it's a non issue! To be honest I do have a factory engraved Winchester 1886 that has a current selling point that is so ridiculously high. That actually hunting with it is pretty much a bad idea!
