Thanks DrMike!
I loaded up 83.5 grns of RL-25 with the Amax and got .600 group!
Loaded up 83 grs of RL-25 with the NABLR and got a .730 group.
The 7828 is all over the place and really hot for some reason!
Thanks again DrMike. 83.5 Grns of RL-25 with the AMAX seems to be a winner. I got lucky and scored 3 lbs of Retumbo this weekend!!! Would you kindly post load data for the 300 RUM for the NABLR and the AMAX with Retumbo for me?
Greatly Appreciated!
I will start posting some result soon!!

Thank you so much!!!
Has anyone had problems with 7828ssc?
I seem to be having consistency problems with this powder. More so in my .280. One week it will shot .5 moa and the next it's a shotgun pattern on the paper and then te next it's back to a moa. The only thing I know for sure that's...

So I received my new, replacement Caldwell Ballistic Precision chrony.....
She's working like a dream! I'm very happy with the new one and it appears to be working just fine. The Ballistic app is great and tracks your shot just like advertised. I recommend this chrony to anyone looking to spend...
Well I'm not sure what's up with my chrony. I did use known factory loads that I previously chronoed to test it's accuracy.
I'll say that Caldwell has great customer service. I called them yesterday, explained the problem and they're shipping me a new chrony that will be here tomorrow!
Ill...
Jimbires:
Thanks for the link. I didn't see anything on sensor spacing. Maybe I missed it but that thread mostly discussed the barrel mounted magnetospeed chrony.
I forgot to mention that light conditions were optimal. Overcast day and the chrony was level.
So I just picked up this chronograph that you have listed here.
First: I have experience running chrono's but have never used this particular one until today'.
First impression: It feels more cheap than the Pro Chronograph that I've used in the past. It's got a lot of nice features and the...
Thanks, I'll give this a try. I've got some Retumbo loaded up in an OCW work-up to try the next nice day we get. I didn't have any pressure signs at 101.1 so I'll work up a few 101.4 and 101.7
Yes, I agree. that was my original plan. QLl said my max load was 98 grn, Nosler reloading manual said 101.1 grn. So I tried to space them out a bit and see what it would look like. I did .3 grain spreads with IMR 7828ssc also but don't have a pic of that target downloaded yet. It appears to be...
Ok guys,
So I worked up my first OCW loads last week and got them to the range today. Can you guys please help me interpret the results and suggest which charge weights might be my OCW?
The first is on my Remington 300 RUM. notice the 100.5 grn and 99.9 grn loads are swapped. I somehow got the...
DrMike,
Could you work up load data for the .300 rum with 208 Amax, retumbo, R-P brass, CCi mag primers, COAL = 3.6940
I looked at the above chart you posted and its states 95.1 grn is max load but I'm really skeptical to go even near that high. Berger manual stated max load for the 210 berger...
Thanks again DrMike!
Im prettty stoked, i just picked up 2 boxes of Nosler 210 grn 30 cal NABLR..... SCORE!!!
I'm partial to the accubond as i have taken many large game with that bullet. Ive been unable to find any 200 grn accubonds for the last 4 months when i started looking for reloading...
Thank you all so much for your replies :-)
I have learned so much already from this forum just "lurking".
Thanks DrMike for taking the time to work up that load data!!!
I can't wait to get some loads worked up for this gun.
I'm waiting on a few things to show up in the mail before getting...
So I see that Nosler has published load data worked up for the 210 grn NABLR for the 300 RUM, can some one tell me why there is load data for only three powders: IMR 7828SSC, H1000 and RL25? Boy wouldn't I love to get a hold of those!!
I've got 7828SSC but I've heard that it can be a temp...
