Is there a better burn chart that gives more information available? Example, I've been out of Reloader 17 for some time and am now getting very low on what I had loaded. The burn charts list Reloader 17 at 134, H4350 at 133, and Accurate 4350 at 135. But without more data or purchasing both and...
My deer hunting spot can be very wet and I would love a good pair of rubber hunting boots. Unfortunitely I wear a 9EEEE and NONE of the rubber boot manufacturers address wide widths! LaCrosse did when they were made in La Crosse, Wisconsin but once manufacturing was shipped out of the country...
I had a model 340 in .222 as well that I let slip away when I thought that I needed a 22-250. It shot really well with 4198 and 50, 52 and 53 grain bullets. It also produced some good groups with H222 as well. My brother also had one in a model 600 Remington. He lent it to a friend of ours and...
I'm thinking about a rifle build in 35 Whelen or 35 Whelen Ackley Improved. The donor rifle is a Ruger #1AB in 30-06 that has never been fired. The 1AB is equipped with a 22" barrel. If I have it rebored is it worth doing the AI in a 22" barrel. My son's Remington 760 in 35 Whelen performs well...
I read that Sierra and Barnes are being sold and that it is supposed to take place 1QTR24. It is appearently the same company that holds Savage. I hope we see improvements in product availability after it all settles out. Has anyone else read this?
Many years ago Hornady produced a .284 dia 175 gr round nose bullet. I used it in my 7mm Remington Magnum with IMR-4831. In those days I did'nt have a chronograph to check velocity, but the combination worked excellent on moose and bear in Canada and white tail deer here in Wisconsin.
You have acquired a real winner there. I've taken many whitetails with a 7x57 in Wisconsin from 40 - 274 yards and all have been one shot kills. That is a good thing since mine is in a Ruger #1AB.
