Well it seams obvious you know how to squeeze a trigger, your rifle is accurate, my guess is you’ll find an accurate load with that. Not curretly using 4831 in anything but it always performed pretty well for me. Good luck.
Looks good. My girls are still recovering from surgeries. Stitches in for another week. Then we get to start Chukar and Pheasant hunting. That gross looking mass weighed about 1 1/2 pounds from Miss Sugars armpit. Molly had some smaller non carcinomas removed since we were there kind of thing.
I do better, daughter is a farmer, has a farm to table operation taking care of most of the restaurants from here to Baker and around the other way to Enterprise. Has a couple acres worth of green houses and a couple acres of seasonal ground. Brings me a basket every couple mornings. I fix fence...
My guess is they are old enough to be Pre cross slot/picitiny rail. I would feature the block is to prevent movement north and south, so to speak. I would bet they came with a dove tail base that was machined to fit a particular rifle giving a quick release set up.
Nothing like tight grain Doug Fir. Biggest tree I ever cut was a little over 7 foot on the stump, cut the first 3 logs at 16feet so we could yard them. Then a couple of 24 footers. Don’t remember for sure something like 140 160 feet of logs.
Forcing cone clearance? Heavy crimp, small pistol magnum primers, and a slow burning powder, not much else to into it. That is a huge drop in velocity. Should be pushing 1500 I should think.
They are almost too easy. Over the last 6 weeks a couple have been left at our range, just overlooked when picking up to go home. Both were turned over to the club president and the rightful owner located. They are so easy to use and so unobtrusive I’m sure our club is not the only place that...
I would guess most data generated for the 300wm is done with a 26 inch barrel. Cutting to 24 would cost a little in velocity but it would still be shooting flatter than a 300 HH or a 300wsm. Two inches of barrel isn’t going to reduce the weight to any appreciable degree but might help keep the...
