I hunted nilgai cows with the 300 Win Mag and the 200 ELDX, I was not happy with the performance with it on shoulder bone, it fragmented and never touched the opposite shoulder but turned the innards into jelly, tracked it for about 60 yards or so. The 2nd nilgai was a through and through in the...
IMR 4350 is a darned good powder for the 7 Rem Mag. I have used it with the 140-150 class bullets.

Been using Redding dies ever since, when I first started reloading, I used RCBS standard dies, and nothing wrong with RCBS, but I preferred to use Redding since it worked very well for me. I use standard full length on virgin brass, and use bushing full length after firing. I like the...
It's a 09 HD2500. I will stop at the auto store and get some black or blue silicone before I assemble the seats, I like to put a thin ribbon of silicone to cover the mating surface of the plastic and metal panel from the inside to ensure a proper seal for the years to come.
Noticed wet carpets in my truck after some rains from time to time. Rain wasn't so heavy until last week and yesterday, had to remove front seats, rear seat, carpets and mats to air dry and after it was dry after 3 days, it rained again and I went out in the truck to check after rain stopped to...
Same here, stopped neck sizing long ago when I felt inconsistent chambering where it galls the lugs heavily and at times it don't. Full size is the best way to go. I like to size 80% of the necks with my full size bushing dies. As for non bushing dies as a starter to full size new brass or to...
Would you know the H20 case capacity on a fired Winchester case for the .308? I'm using Lapua, volume is smaller than the Winchesters. I'm already having some powder crunch using Varget and the 178 ELDM. I would need more case volume to put those big 200 ELDX - 220 grain bullets to fit the mag.
Not sure if my 11.25" twist will stabilize it, it possibly can with 200 grains or less. I just never tried it that heavy. Highest weight I tried was the 178 ELD M which shoots great out to 800 yards last time I tested it.
Damn, that is not good news, I will have to switch to other alternative powders, and use Hodgdon that I have been using since I started reloading. IMR 4831, 7828 and 4350 are good powders and I like to try RamShot powders one of these days. I see that some folks here are happy with RamShot...
