Guy , I'd love to be able to get around the guys that train those dogs . those guys have forgot more about training , than I could ever hope to know . I've never seen the LE dogs work in person , but I've seen it on TV . WOW , are they impressive dogs .
we got Sally when she was one year...
thank you Fellas , I'm really happy with Sally . I've learned a bunch on handling her when we go tracking . She just keeps getting better . I think we didn't find two . one was on our lease . she really didn't seem very interested in tracking it . a few days later we got pics of that deer...
yesterday evening I took a 9 point with my crossbow . I shot it at 5:40 pm . I decided to run home and get my dog Sally while I was waiting for time to track . I knew where it stood when I shot , and I picked out a few landmarks that it passed when it ran off . I got Sally close to where...
I never had good luck with the spray lubes . one thing they do say in the directions is to let it dry completely . I went back to a lube pad and RCBS case lube 2
good replies Fellas . my scent control routine is just a thousand little things . on this I believe if you take care of the little things , the big things take care of themselves . I use scent free bath soap , laundry detergent ,and deodorant , I think these are the only things I buy , that...
here is a couple of the better ones I got from the lease . these I still get pics of semi regular .
these are on my short list .I get pics often enough I'm hunting them .
this one I've lost track of him . he was #1 on my list . he has stickers on both G2's
this is...
I work hard to try and keep my scent to a minimum , and try to play the wind in my favor . I've done these things so long , that I do them without thinking about it . I'd probably have a hard time making up a list of what I do.
in my morning news feed I received this article on scent...
I just found this ,white tail country ammo . link below .

which ever bullet you can find easy would be the determining factor , in todays lack of components . I agree with the other guys , the 120 will be a good choice . the ballistic tips are usually a very easy bullet to get accuracy from . I use the 120 gr bullet in one of my 7mm-08's .
I put a rifle basix trigger in a couple of savage 110, rifles for the guys I shoot long range with . they were happy with the new trigger .it's an easy straight forward swap.
I've used a lot of 215 and 215M , I don't remember seeing this before . I remember them being evenly coated . to be honest , I'm not sure what the purple does . I always thought it was sealant , but I don't know for sure .
I have one that failed too . getting ready for my moose hunt I was shooting two rifles . my 7 rem mag was shooting about 1/2" right . the groups seemed bigger than normal too . I thought that might be me today , I'll be shooting again before I go away . next trip to the range , the rifle...
three of us went on a moose hunt to Newfound land . we were at camp with another group of five . the other group live about an hour away from me . it's small world , we drove about 1800 miles to meet a neighbor . LOL five of the camp hunted moose , three hunted caribou . my group of three...
a lot of good advice has been given . I find my COAL to touching the lands . then I see if it fits the magazine . if it does fit you're good , if it doesn't fit then you need to use the magazine length as your max COAL . start at max length , this way you can only go shorter . this takes...
I have a sealed 8 pound jug of RL50 if this helps anyone . I can't ship , but if you're close we could work something out .
I bought this when I couldn't find RL33 . I've made the switch to VV N570 . I'll probably work myself away from Alliant powders .
if you decide to try the Berger bullets , be sure the hollow point is open . sometimes the hole is plugged up with something , I'm guessing polishing compound . I sort through my Bergers , keeping the ones with open holes for hunting . the plugged holes I shoot at targets . you can check this...
