Went to Sportsman Warehouse in Kennewick, Wa. and now their only letting 50 people through the door at a time. Head manager standing at door letting people in when people exiting.
This is a load I shoot in my Marlin 1894C 357mag and has shot well in a Ruger Blackhawk 357mag too.
Federal cases
Federal GM200M primer
16.0grs of H110 powder
Speer 158gr. SP bullet seated at 1.580" COAL
Heavy crimp with Lee Factory Crimp Die.
Thanks, you helped me make my decision to stock up on some more. I got an email back from Nosler support saying: Mark,
Production schedule is showing both the 300gr and 260gr to run in November.
I now it is fun to shoot. I would love to shoot an elk, moose, bear or buffalo with it. My partner has 375 Ruger Guide Gun too and has killed an elk with the factory 270gr. Hornady round. Where as I killed a mule deer doe on a damage control hunt with the factory load. I chronographed this...
Noticed this fall more 375 caliber 260gr. and 300gr. Accubond bullets are on retailer's selves. Did they make a special run on them this year and do you know if it is a couple years when they make another run on these bullets through their production line? Just wondering if a person should stalk...
No experience with Africa but the the two I would take are Remington M721 300 H&H shooting 200gr. Partirions and the 375 Ruger Guide Gun shooting Woodleigh 350gr. PP.
I use 41.0grs. of RL17 powder with a Barnes 80gr. TTSX seated at 2.620" and getting a 0.300" 3-shot group @100yds. With the copper bullet they like a jump from the lands.
So Guy what do I you think is causing 1.5" higher then ? Coworker has same gun and scopes email set up as my 375 Ruger Guide Gun. He was shooting high too! Dead on with windage and grouping was the same. Both rifles are free floated and action bedded Both Leupold VX3 2.5-8x36mm. Rings are...
I always go at least a few days before the hunt and early in the morning when it is cooler temperatures to do a final sight in. Good luck on your hunt and looking forward to hearing about the hunt!
Today I took the 375 Ruger to the range. I shot at 100yds with my 300gr. Nosler Accubond load. I was originally sighted in 2" high at 100yds. when temperature was 45 to 50 degrees. Today was about 74 degrees. I shot 3-1/2" high at 100yds. Windage was dead on. I am using RL17 powder. Primers...
I just started loading for my Remington 700 BDL 243win. that I inherited from my dad. Worked up a load:
R-P case
Federal 210 GM primer
41.0grs. of RL17 powder
Barnes 80gr. TTSX bullet seated 2.620" COAL.
0.300" 3-shot group at 100yds.
Haven't had a chance to chronograph load yet but happy with...
Thanks hodgeman! I use the Asley Ghost Ring sight on my Marlin 1894C 357mag. Liked it and was accurate enough to shoot ground squirrels and golf balls. Just wondering if it is the same concept? By instructions to sight in on this sight they say after sighted in you could remove and reinstall it...
Has anybody have used this sight and have an opinion? Thought about using it on my 375 Ruger Guide Gun for my Woodleigh 350gr. PP load for close quarter game in heavy timber. Then leaving my 300gr. Accubond load sighted in with the Leupold VX3 3.5x8z36mm duplex with the Alaskan Arms quick detach...
SJB358 is the post and duplex reticle thick as the heavy duplex reticle? Would you see any advantage with the post and duplex reticle over the standard duplex in heavy dark timber hunting? My question is because I have a Leupold VX3 2.5-8x36mm on my 375 Ruger Guide Gun that I use for elk hunting...
I agree with you on Decelerators. Was a Limbsaver person at one time, but they turn gummy after a period of time. Now it is the Decelerator from now on.
Guy, may have something to do with the 30-06 has a sharper shoulder angle creating more pressure. Just like my 300 H&H is a big push over a sharp recoil of a 300win. Long taper shoulder on the H&H case has something to do with it that I have found.
