Hello was just wondering if anyone could do a quickload for Me. It's a 222 Remington with 22" barrel. I'm loading 40gr nosler varmageddon tipped and would like to use benchmark, imr 4198, and h4198.
Thanks in advance
That's fine tackdriver, yea it has a pretty long throat.all three of my Remington 700's were long throated and both of my vanguards also have long throats. I haven't tried different powder yet but may have to, or just go onto my 55gr varmageddon hp. It did shoot the 55gr varmageddon tipped into...
If I start off .020" off lands I am only left with .104" of bullet left in the case..I did load development at .120" off the lands as that was as far as I felt I could go with enough bullet in case. I did load development in .3gr. 4 shot groups. I had worked up to the max load of 36.3gr of IMR...
Just looking for some opinions on this group. What would you do next. Cartridge is a 22/250, cases are all weight sorted, powder charges are all charged with same known Good weight, cases trimmed, neck sized with lee collet neck die, very concentric with .001-.0015" runout. I'm shooting 55gr...
Could I pay a Canadian fellow money to do me a quickload favour ? Name a price.
I'm reloading 22/250 Weatherby vanguard s2 24" bbl 1:14 twist
I'm using laupua brass fire formed, cci br2. I hear that quickload may let you know where the nodes may be as well.
I'm using Speer 55gr tnt hp...
Yes I'm pretty happy with the ease of getting these sierras to shoot. If it was one gun I would have said I got lucky with the load. But with two guns I believe they are a very easy bullet to make accurate.
I have never touched sierras before but heard nothing but good things. Last winter I had come across a deal on some so thought what the heck give them a try on coyotes. See if they are little more fur friendly then my current hornady v-max load. The top picture is the Sierra 55gr bthp gameking...
I know it's not a .26 cal but I shoot a .257 wby mag with 110 accubonds at 3500 fps. I was skeptical with the accubond at high speeds close range. So I took some milk jugs lined them up along with couple 2x4s in front to kind of act like a shoulder and stepped back 10ft. Shot and the results...
wondering if someone could run me a quickload for my 338 win mag and 210gr nosler partition with IMR 4350, Varget + H4831. The brass is new Winchester, Fed 215 primer. Thank you in advance!
Thanks everyone I too still think it is a winchester power point. If I had a 270 cal of any kind I would load them up and put them through some milk jugs at some slower speeds to see the expanding version then we could see that aspect of them. Might tell us a little more.
Just wondering if anyone knows the manufacture of these soft points. They Are .270 130gr. I came across a good deal on them and have 17.8 lbs of these now. Not owning a .27 cal anymore and having the bullets Makes a good excuse to get one again. At first I thought they were a winchester power point.
Dan I'm from swift current. The 37.2gr was 3797 3 shot average with 12fps velocity string. The Hodgon load data says I should be compressed at 36.8gr which I wasn't nor was i compressed at the 37.2gr.This was once fired than full length sized brass so it did have greater volume.Im going to try...
