I am looking at 6.5 creedmoor.using nosler brass , Winchester primers , reloader 16 powder and 24” barrel and OAL of 2.835 and the bullet is nosler 129 grain long range accu bond .
Thanks in advance !
I have heard good and bad about the Lee collet dies, if the necks are too thick then you get torn up case mouths? So,neck turning is really recommended just as a Redding type / if your not going to,use the expander . I have Redding type s and I use the expander and seems to work well for me...
Speed at or better than H 4350 and IMR 4451 which are just to hard to find to worry about anymore. I also like he recoil, profile f Norma URP and the small SD and ES and groups I am getting shooting 130 gran bullets.
I am wanting to see how close reloader 16 is to a certain Norma powder.
I am using a 6.5 Creedmoor 24" barrel, Nosler 6.5 creedmoor brass, Nosler 129 LR AB bullet and OAL of 2.835
Thanks in advance for anyone who can run this for me and post results.
Wanting to try the Norma URP powder in a couple,243's as well.
Nosler brass, 95 grain Nosler bal tip, bullet, Norma URP powder, 2.675 OAL and 1-9.25 twist rate barrel.
Thanks again!
I am thinking about using some Norma powders in my 6.5 creedmoor with nosler 129 LRAB . The powders are Norma 204 and Norma URP looking for ballpark speed and pressure differences in the 2 and Norma's site not great on reload data.
Running nosler brass, case OAL 2.835, Winchester primers nosler...
I come once again to ask a favor does anyone have quick load on newer powders listed on there quick load looking at IMR4451 Enduron with H4350 getting super hard to find thanking about switching in trying this new powder many claim very close to the same as age 4350 shooting.
I am using nosler...
My experiences with primers from doing some testing 8-9 years back are this in a 243, the bench rest style primers never shown on my chronograph to the lowest SD or ES, in fact standard winchesters gave me my best groups and SD and ES. Sure the winchesters are a hotter primer but I feel they are...
Ok I like the Nosler brass for my 6.5 Creedmoor a lot and have 100 on Hand but it seems now no one has any and a call to Nosler gives one no hope as to when more will be ready to ship out? I also asked about who makes this 6.5 Creedmoor brass Nosler or outside source? I was told that information...
20 yards? These are not a bonded core bullet and are meant to expand down to 1,800 FPS so I would try another test at 100 -300 and see what kind of performance you get?
I know a guy that shot an elk in testing of these bullets past 900 and he was impressed with the performance of the ELD X
Hey thanks for that chart and I see my suspicions where somewhat on track. The 142 states a twist of 1-7 for the 142 and the 129's 1-8 and a bit better stability. Also I doubt I could get to 2,800 FPS with a 6.5 Creedmoor shooting the 142's. My gun is a 1-8 savage.
I just ordered today 2 boxes...
Ok I would like a ball park figure on case capaxity of Nosler 6.5 Creedmoor brass of possible? Less than Hornady I am assuming? Also if possible a QL request for the 129 LR accubond using 129 Nosler LR accubonds and Nosler brass. H-4350 powder and H-4831 SC if possible. Thanks in advance,
The...
