Thanks Dr Mike. I was surprised in that my 270WSM was really easy to find to work up a load with very good accuracy with the 150AB. I will try some standard primers when I tweak my loads.
Ok.. Thanks for the replies. In regards to hotter primers: can someone rank the magnum primers from slow to fast, etc? I have all the major brands of primers so I could experiment but i don't know where the 9 1/2 M compares to the WLRM and 215M. Once again TIA.
Ok. So I have a great load for my 270WSM with 140g Accubonds and Magpro. I thought I would try and see what I could do with 150G Accubonds and Magpro. I went to the range today and was very happy with my initial loadings but not the velocities I was achieving. I need to fine tune but I was...

Funny you mention 4831. I'm using H4831SC. I know lot's of people say to use RL17, 19,22 and I have a pretty good load with RL17 but my Browning really likes H4831SC.
I've found a couple of excellent loads for my 300WSM but have a question for you guys: Most of the reloading manuals, etc use magnum rifle primers with the 300WSM. I do have a very good load worked up with WLRM primers but also have any excellent load with Fed 210 primers. The velocity...
JD338,
The factory where they are made is about 30 miles from me and bought directly from Federal at probably an inflated price but I really wanted to get some to try.
I just scored on some Federal Terminal Ascents in 136G for me 270WSM and 175G for my 300WSM and would like some info on some loads:
For the 136G: Magpro, RL17, RL19,RL22 and H4831sc and Superformance.
For the 175G: RL17,RL19 H4831sc, H4350, IMR4831 and Superformance.
I've heard good things about...
I had that same problem during the height of the pandemic with 180 G in 30 caliber. I called Nosler and explained what was happening, I told them I would mail them in if they didn't believe me. The person in tech admitted there was a problem with some and they would send me a free package. It...
Getting my gun back soon from the gunsmith and want to work up some loads with 150G Partitions and Accubonds. I've got some for 130 and 140 g but haven't tried 150G yet. I have a pretty good assortment of powders and primers so any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. With the 300 WSM it will mainly be for elk. I have been fortunate over the past few years to take some elk. The distance was 25 yards, 150 yards and 175 yards. With that being said, there are opportunities for much longer shots but probably not over 500...

Thanks for the chart. I saw one similar but I like that this one is color coded. I guess as other people have said, I need to find a load that shoots good, try in the summer and then in the fall that closely matches my hunting temps and see if I get any POI shifts.
Thanks for all...
Finally got enough components to start my reloading for 300WSM and 270WSM. I have a couple of questions for people much more knowledgeable than me. In the past I never paid much attention to which powders are more temperature sensitive than others when I reloaded for my 270 win and 30-06. I...
I really like the Bondstrike. Used it last fall to take a cow elk with great results. I think it's very similar to the Accubond but at least in the 180 Factory loadings it is quite a bit faster and more energy. I'm also Swedish so that helps. The reason I didn't list RE 19 or 22 is although...
