Bad barrels happen. I've had a bunch over the 34 years I'be been building my own guns. It is more rare nowdays compared to when I started but button barrels are more prone to it IMO, especially when contoured from a blank. The bore tend to grow on a button rifled barrel when metal is removed...
I had a buddy that won a titanium carbon barreled Christensen. It shot horrible. He sent it back and the new barrel hammers, like in the .3" range. I spent a lot of resources on the first barrel trying to get it to shoot. I personally told him to sell it unfired and use the money to build a full...
I should of said the middle eastern OPEC nations, who he met with, my bad.
6 refineries closed at the end of Trump last term, or 4.5% of total refining capacity. That doesnt equal nearly double the gas prices that happened under Biden, but nice try. Biden fully attacked the oil and gas industry...
Most likely Trump just asked OPEC to help lower the oil price to put pressure on Iran and Russia. They dont want wars or instability either and most likely agreed for a period of time. We never had the highest prices ever under Trump, that was Joe. Its going to pinch the oil industry but it will...
Most likely the feedlips in the front are too tight and preventing the case from angling up slightly as it releases. You could mess with those too but its plastic and easy to take too much off.
Mass production doesnt lead to the best outcome most times. Hell Remington went on for year selling...
The only calibers I dont have, between 17 and 45, are 17, 20, 9.3, and 423. I do have a 8x68 but havent ever shot it. I can see myself picking up a 17 of some flavor, most likely a 17HMR, and building a 404 Jeffrey if I go back to Africa for buffalo. I doubt I'd build or buy a 20 or 9.3.
The list is pretty long and hopefully I can remember them all.

The 280 Ackley is longer than a 30-06. Peterson makes good 280 AI brass. You could ream out a Redding type S die for sizing and a Hornady seater or a match grade Hornady 280AI set. Swap the seating insert to the caliber of choice and bore out the bushing die for the larger caliber. Not sure how...
Wolves e
Wolves easily kill deer too. In one spot I use to hunt, and the place I killed my first wolf, the wolves killed or ran off all the elk and then started into the deer. It was pretty easy to tell by the hair in their scat. The deer numbers plummeted too.
The problem is most of these people with the brilliant ideas don't have to live with them. That should be a requirement to any of these dumb ideas, you live with them too. I'd love to see wolves and grizzlies in NY and CA. Once they had to live with them they'd rethink their stupidness.
I've had good luck with Leica scopes over the years and bought a couple of these for my kids rifles. The reticles are a little busy but they make one more like the MOAR-T from NF too. I just wish they made them in 50mm...
The NX8's arent as clear as the VX6's, and are heavier but the turrets are way better. The Mark5's are built more like Nightforce scopes but only available in FFP. Honestly if Leupold made the VX6 with more than 10moa in the TMOA reticle I may not of bought any NX8's. It seems silly to not use...
