    Reloading in 2020, anything new?

I usually make sure when I see something on the shelves I take advantage of it before this happens. I decided to let go of most of the Alliant powders I'm no long using to someone that needs it more than me during this shortage. I'm surprised it's still available to be honest, the Winchester...

    175 Woodleigh PP 3090 FPS 4 Jugs

The 7mm Boo Boo that Dave Tooley developed was ahead of its time for sure. Having only one company making the brass, RWS, was an issue for me and why I sold it off. Same for the 8.59 Galaxy, and even though Kenny had Norma making his 300 Jarrett brass, I knew Remington wasn't going to do much...

New rifle advice - looking for a triple purpose rifle

Why not a 6mm BR or a 6x47 Lapua. They're fun to shoot, use little in the way of gunpowder, the barrel will last a little longer than a 6 CM, the 6mm BR being the best of the bunch for accuracy and barrel life.

deer hunt / 120 Ballistic Tip

Nice story to read, thanks for sharing the details.... I felt like I was sitting there with you! Long ago everyone and their brother in-laws used the BT's with great success! One of the greatest deer hunting bullets ever made, and they shot extremely well in most if not all guns! I took a...

    Lost my best friend

Ron, My heart goes out to you for your loss, it's one of the saddest things in life to lose our parents. I lost my Father when I was only 27, and a few years after that my mother. They were older like your mother. The woman you knew may be gone, but your mother's soul will live on for...

    175 Woodleigh PP 3090 FPS 4 Jugs

I can't see an issue with running a 175 Woodleigh in a 1:9" twist bbl. I was looking to gain some velocity with the 160 gr bullets. That said I have a load for the 175 NP in my 280AI that I think runs around 2,800 f/s.... been a while since I used it. A lot of times it's either the barrel...

    Nightforce Choices

^^^ I agree with the two above, and the weight/size issue. I have two ATACR's the 5-25, and the 7-35. That said they're on PRS/Long range target weapons, and a Vudoo M40A1 style 22 LR. I have a USO 1.8-10x37 TPAL on my 280 AI and would never need anything more on it in that same weight class.

    120 Ballistic Tips

If it's brown it's down we used to say.... Still ugly though, my old Winchester M70 264 WM loved them. I had a 125 NP load but most of the animals I hunted fell to one well placed 120 BT. I'd say if they shoot well Mark you won't have anything to complain about other than the color! lol

Nothing to excuse your post about CL. I am sorry to hear of your loss. Good people are hard to find, you're not alone. I hope you find some peace soon enough.

We need good people to move to Idaho that won't bring the politics/laws with them to our State. We only have something like 1.655 million people in our State, very conservative I'd think, nice places to live and enjoy your life.

    Officially Disappointed in Nosler

Well that's too bad things like this happen in the first place, and having your hopes something would go your way with the repair is a shame. Been there, done that too long ago and why I just went full custom with a gunsmith I knew I could trust..... Which is usually after a build is done, and...

    Tragic News Out of Alaska

Precisely why I love having a hunting Dog with me! My previous English Lab saved my butt from more than a few Black bears, and one Brown bear. I'm pretty sure Zuri would too but she's never been the type to not back down from a fight like Pebbles.... She even saved my hide from a Bobcat I made...
