    Youth call

I would love to use bismuth or TSS, but this gun was made in the 40’s so pretty much restricted to lead what works is REM express 3” #6. I think Santa is going to bring a new 410 for TSS

    Youth call

It’ll be a cool hunt with a call I made him and his .410 is his great. Grandpa’s Win 42 that’s been in my family since the early 50’s

    Youth call

Watching my 9 y/o grandson struggle to use a full size sate call. I came up with a smaller 3” slate in purpleheart. Much easier for him to manipulate. Also scaled the striker down. Hope to put it to use this weekend. Supposed to rain the rest of the week so hopefully we’ll be able to get across...

    No gobblers, but...

Seems like I manage to call in about 1 coyote to every 3 turkeys

    No gobblers, but...

It happens. Especially since my hearing went south.

Trying really hard to sit on my hands.

Boy, did you ever come to the wrong group if you expect not to be coerced into coming off some cash.

    Padauk double side call

This has become my new favorite call. It’s an African Padauk double sided call with glass on top and rare red slate on the bottom. Excellent raspy old hen sound. The glass is loud, raspy and mid range tone. The slate is more subtle for purrs, clucks and beautiful tree yelps. Comes with Chechen...

    Norma shot shells...

That would have made good coyote medicine for ya.

    Gordon's Reloading Tool Question

I like it. It’s usually pretty spot on with its models. If you fire a couple starting loads and use that data for calibration it’s pretty dead nuts. I bought a windows 10 laptop (refurbished) off eBay for $125 and that’s all it gets used for and does fine.

    Montana Bear Attack

Dang! Never even been close to a griz, we only have blackies but I once found myself stuck between a mamma and twin cubs with only a broken piece of a shooting stick I used to knock down briers to defend myself. Luckily, they all just ran and met up and went on their merry way. Since then, I've...

    starline brass thoughts

I've found it good brass in general. I've used it for Grendel, 7-08, 308 and 223 without any issues. Never used their nickel brass, but one thing I noticed using Win nickel brass is make sure to use a VLD chamfer or it'll shave bullets.

    Primer POP

Yikes! That could have been much worse. Glad you’re ok. That’s a sphincter tightener!

Fully Custom Turkey Calls Your Design

I sure have built several that I wasn’t happy with. I put them on a shelf I call “the island of misfit toys”… the one I’m most excited about now is a Padauk double side with glass on top and red slate on the bottom. Then like Jim said, the walnut and cottonwood box call has a solid reputation as...

    Blind Date

good times PawPaw! Sometimes I'll set up a ground blind in the den and let the grandsons "camp out" in it when they come to stay

    Visitor to My Neighbourhood

How cool! And to think I get annoyed at the deer munching on my arborvitaes. Can't imagine what Bullwinkle would do to landscaping.

    sierra game kings nickel

Never messed with them, but federal’s terminal ascent nickel plated bullets have a solid reputation.
