    .22 Mag for Coyote Protection

I would guess that hit in the right spot it would work. I prefer my Taurus Judge. .410 for cottonmouths, or if I'm hunting down a pizzed off hog with a bullet hole in it, I have 45 LC ready

    Nuts, for the truck

while I think it's goofy looking, if someone is that easily offended by dangly bits, I'd suggest they steer clear of hog farms.

Zero range Red Dot Turkey Guns

What range do you guys zero the red dot / scope on your turkey guns? I have a 2 MOA reflex sight and I'm thinking I'll zero at 30-35 yards for 12 ga. 3" TSS #9's

My favorite hunting load is 46.8 gr of RL 17 and the 140 Partition. Pretty speedy and very accurate. Also found great results with RS Big Game, Varget, and RL15

which 4350? IMR or Hodgdon? H4350 would "work" in both, and certainly IMR 4350 in the 7RM. but I wouldn't consider any of them optimum for either. 3031 and benchmark will work in your 7-08, but velocity is going to be slow. You may be better off grabbing a pound of one of the more "bread and...

TDS is real, be careful out there

I see a correlation between their 20% approval rating and the divide on the 80-20 issues that are the hot topics right now. (men in women's sports, immigration, crime, gov waste, etc)

    Boyds stocks

I’ve used two and both required a little sanding, one was cut a tiny bit too shallow and the mag wouldn’t seat all the way without a good slap, but pillar bedding, which I was going to do anyway, cured the issue. That said I would use another.

    Should I? 6.5x 280 AI

No, I think I'll go ahead and get the 270 for a donor but still kicking the idea around with what components I want to use.

    Should I? 6.5x 280 AI

So I have a chance to snatch up another M-70 made in the early 2000’s. The stock needs a little re-finishing, and the blueing on the barrel is about 80%, but the action and mechanics are solid. It’s a REAL good price! Currently it’s a 270, but I’m kicking around the idea of changing it to a 6.5x...

    Hillbilly turkey call

Feeling cocky? Just wait till something with a brain the size of a pea humiliates you. Confounded thunder chickens!

    Hillbilly turkey call

It sounds great! Otherwise I’d put it on the shelf and try again. It’s a fantastic wood! You’re right about its use in bow making. In fact in French it’s "bois d'arc" literally means "wood of the bow" or "bow wood".

    Hillbilly turkey call

A gentleman requested a WV themed call. Only thing he asked is WV theme and native wood. I went with bead blasted crystal on top, red slate on the bottom and flamed a piece of Osage. Added the WV state motto: “Montani Semper Liberi” ( mountaineers are always free)

Rifles that Need to be Hunted (or loads developed for) in 2025

I have really neglected a rifle I got from a buddy 4-5 years ago. It's a SC made M70-Fwt that started life as a 30-06 and he had it re-barreled to 6.5-06. I've never sent a bullet out the muzzle! I want to use the 6-ARC for coyote, I shot one with it a while back, but it disappeared into a bunch...

    204 Ruger

Benchmark and 8208 are going to be hard to beat with that 39 gr. I'm wanting to get my hands on Reloder 10X, it's supposed to be the golden ticket in the 204 R.
