Elk broke the antenna off this camera the other day and it quit communicating with my phone. I replaced the antenna this evening and it is working well again. Fortunately while it was not communicating it did continue to record and I got this elk sequence that I thought was amusing and a blurry...
Good timing on that one.
I had a bunch of fish heads and tails out for the birds. At about 0:30 in the vid the buzzards scatter and an eagle appears. Impressed me of how the buzzards were aware of it coming and the eagle knew what it was after.
Finally caught up with the first calf elk in the homestead herd this year. Neighbor sent me a pic of one a few days ago and then this morning sent me a pic of a cow elk with twins.
I know this is the Nosler site but just curious if anybody on here has done any hunting with an air gun?
So far all I’ve taken with mine are squirrels but wouldn’t hesitate to try for something bigger with the 25 or 30 caliber.
Over the years it has been a constant battle to keep trespassers off of the property.
They steal the signs, cameras and invade my hunting ground.
I've even had people claim they own it and try to kick me off my own property.
Fortunately there is a gate on the road now so at least they have to...

Planted a food plot on part of it last year but was such a dry Autumn it didn’t grow.
The grass came in and the elk visited often during the winter.

Just curious if anybody is using firewood to heat their home and what saws you are using?
I cut a lot of windfall on the homestead and also on occasion get permits from the state.
Picked up a never used 35P for $75 a few years back. At this point in life I doubt I would use a new chronograph much as most of my shooting is only 100 yards. That being said I have some friends who do enjoy long range shooting and they use the Labradar. Now these guys would complain if there...
Even if it got dark on you it’s always nice to finish the day doing something you like to do.
Just reading about it and knowing my own limitations I found the report quite impressive.
Roosevelt. This one got run off by a three point during the rut last year. Will be interesting to see how many calves we get this year.
Had a good six point on the place several years ago which is the biggest bull I’ve seen on the homestead. Usually smaller bulls seem to hang around here.
