1911 Slide Occasionally Not Going Into Battery

I was thinking extractor... and it could be... it could also be a dirty chamber.

    Yikes

Dang.... I may need to sell some stuff... I've got roughly 1500 or so 160 Accubonds, several pounds of RL26 and MRP. Could probably pay off the house, 😆

Upped my fishing game today.... comfy boat

No we don't keep anything... the only fish we care to eat are trout, salmon, and flounder... besides, all the water in the Tennessee River is nasty in more ways than one... from sewage to waste from Oak Ridge. We just like catching big ole fish...catfish are the low hanging fruit, lol...

Upped my fishing game today.... comfy boat

The boat is all equipped now by the way...225ah worth of lithium batteries, 80 pound thrust Minn Kota Terrova, Helix 9 MSI+ fish finder, and a grill.... enough batteries to fish several days or nights between charges. Time on the water, especially at night, when the crowds are gone is awesome.

    Need A Good Belt

I'm wearing a Milt Sparks belt, been wearing it since 2007....I like good old fashioned leather. When I ordered it I didn't like the idea of paying $110 for a belt... but after 15 years of wearing it I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. Edited to add.... I've worn this every day for 15 years...

Went looking for a S&W 686 Plus... end up with something els

Well...I guess S&W revolvers are like pringles, once you start you just can't stop. Was talking with my mother in law, she's a gun gal, telling her about not finding the 686 Plus and all that. I had forgotten that she has one she bought several years ago, turns out she wants a Kimber K6S...

Went looking for a S&W 686 Plus... end up with something els

The ones you have look really good... It's the race gun look I don't much care for on mine... but I have to admit, those race gun parts (front sight, cylinder release) DO work great. I'm really happy with it though despite the looks, I'll probably always say it ugly... but so are Glocks and...

Went looking for a S&W 686 Plus... end up with something els

Want to add.... I'm not trying to make fun of anybody else's 686 Performance Center...it's just that I really like the looks of the plain jane 686 in either 4 or 6 inch. The PC model is a fine handgun, I just prefer the more traditional look... but hey, for the price I got it for I'll learn to...

Went looking for a S&W 686 Plus... end up with something els

Picked up another wheel gun yesterday....S&W 686 Performance Center, 4 inch, 6 shot. I went looking for a 4 inch 686 plus, but nobody had any... was about to take a 6 inch until I noticed the barrel was slightly off (not clocked just right, wasn't off much but it was off). I handed it back and...

    Shotgun Advantages

My shotgunning is pretty much limited to clays these days, but in my youth I walked all over the county hunting grouse, quail, rabbits, and squirrels with shotguns. In those days all I had was an old hand me down Victor Special (very old store brand gun) 16 gauge single that was my Grandads (I...

    Eye dominance

With rifles yes. With handguns shooting right handed and left eyed is no problem. My wife does, Hickok45 does, my son used to (his eye dominance switched on its own for some reason). Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk

    Bullet Wish List for 2022

Same as I asked for the last time... 240 grain 41 caliber handgun Partition. Heck, even a 240 grain jacketed soft point would be nice if they make it tough enough to handle rifle velocities (1,800 fps and good weight retention), I'm sure that's easier to make since they seem to have given up...

    Vaccine mandate and Nosler

My thoughts exactly....I said it way back when they first started testing the vaccines. The virus is real... but the hype is about money more than anything else, much the same as EVERYTHING else in this world is these days. Making decisions solely based on money is hurting the world in ways...
