I used 115gr NBT in my initial and only loads for the 250. Shot about an inch at 100 yards. Need to get it out and play with it. My antlerless hunt starts 26 Oct.
I have not tried the 115gr PT. I figured with the velocity a NBT may be better . If I get the ceiling in my Man Cave this week I can start working on installing my loading bench and unboxing my toys.
Y’all are making me want to get my Ruger 77 RSI in 250 Savage out for a Antlerless hunt I got drawn for here in WV. I think the lightest 25 caliber bullets I have are 115 Gr BT. May have some 80gr TTSX.
I just drove from Utah to WV and didn’t see it on the shelves at any of the stores I stopped at along the way. Been looking for it to try but haven’t seen any in a long time.
I just drove from Salt Lake City Utah to Southern WV and stopped at multiple shops along the way. Saw some small pistol , small rifle and a few Cheddite 209 primers but no large rifle of any kind. Lots of common powders on the shelves.
With the prices they are wanting on Gunbroker I am glad all my reloading stuff is put away while I build a new shop. Got plenty of loaded ammo to last a few more years.
I have that case prep center and it works great for me. I don’t load large quantities at a time but it definitely saves my hands and wrist. I had both wrist surgically repaired and arthritis now plagues me.
I have a few 257 Weatherby that I crushed when I first started reloading. Didn’t have the crimp adjusted properly. I recently pulled the bullets and reclaimed the powder. Ran them through a full length resizer so now they fit in my #1. Going to put a reduced load in them with some bullets that...
Ya’ll are making me want to get my #1 RSI out and tweak a load I started for it with the 140gr NBT. Also have a M77 RSI in 275 Rigby that I need to work up a load for . Have some 140gr Accu Bonds to play with a a well.
