Anyone ever have one? My local shop has one in 223 for 289. Best I can find out they are a 700 ADL in a birch stock and a little less time spent on the bluing. I don't really need another 223 but the price seems good for a wood and steel rifle with a little 4-12 bushnell on it. Let me know...
I can echo that groups shrink closer to max charges. This is the case with my 700 CDL and Vanguard S2 in 25-06. They both do their best work at or 1.0 grains below max charge.
Anyone use this powder in those cartridges? I was doing an order today and wanted to get a few pounds to make the Hazmat worth it. I like trying different powders so I picked this up, never used it before. I was thinking of trying it in 223 and 22-250.
Thanks for the comments, yeah the Barnes did not take long at all to get to shoot well. I went strait off their website and they did 3/4 inch. Then I moved each load out 10 or 20 thou and they were bug holing. Too me the 25-06 is no doubt a lost cartridge but I think it is making a comeback.
Had a good day at the range today. Was trying some 75 grain Vmax's in my Weatherby Vanguard S2 in 25-06 Remington. I have really grown to love this rifle. It shoots a ton of stuff right into 3/4 to 1 inch, 115grn NBT, 100grn Sierra gameking, 85grn NBT, 100grn Speer hotcor........but it always...
My dad and I got my son out for his first dove hunt yesterday evening. We didn't have much time for scouting and it has been HOT but we still saw a pretty good number of birds. Hunted the same general area I hunted with my dad. He ended up getting about 5 or 6 shots (in .410 range) and got...
Sorry about your frustrations. I was going to say to give 296 a try as it shoots very well out of my 1894 in 357 (2019 manufacture). I see that is not an option for you. I can only tell you that Bluedot, although fun is not very accurate at all in my Glock 20 10mm. The mixed brass and...
