After having trouble finding a bullet that would stabilize in my .308 shooting reduced loads , I had success with this one. Although @ 1425fps there is no expansion but I didn't expect it to. Shoots great for my 13 year old daughter low noise and recoil.

I your practical experience are belted cases more likely to suffer from case head separation than rimless ? I have .340 Wby Mag cases exceeding 8 reloads {neck sizing} that exhibit no internal ring or groove. And what case life do you get on belted Mags?

It was such a nice day today I felt compelled to shoot the .308 at the range. Most of the guys are younger with better rifles but this old man shot a few groups with my Remington SPS. Match Kings made me look good. And how about those 165 NPs I use for hunting...5 shots not to shabby.

New to the Forum good looking site. As I get older I am more willing to try new things and was wonder what results others have had using powders other than RE22 and 7828 in their .340s. I only load .250s and always have had good performance just thinking about different powders.
