is Alliant's new BP substitute. Talking to the Mag Kor guys at SHOT I learned that their BlackMag XP will be sold by Alliant under the Black Dot name. The distribution arrangement was only recently signed, which should help big time in making BlackMag XP available.

Nosler,
I have a Nosler Custom .30-'06 cartridge that did not fire; do you want it back? This is from a lot of 100 cartridges that you made for me.
thanks...jim

Booking the Hunt
In earlier chapters we looked at some basics: budget, travel, firearms, and where to go and generally what to hunt. So far I have been doing the work, and you have just been sitting back and reading the magazine. I did recommend that...
I have been acquiring White muzzleloading rifles for the last two years, and I now have three that are excess to my needs. Any interest in a M97 .451; M97 .504; and an UltraMag .504? All are used.

Jim, what is an African safari going to cost me?” I get that question a lot from hunters who are looking to book a first hunt to the Dark Continent; it is often the first...

Getting There is None of the Fun
I say that because international travel means sitting in an airplane seat, eating airplane food, enduring the travel bureaucracy and generally being uncomfortable for an interminable period of time. Its saving grace is...
This is one of a series of articles I wrote for African Hunter in 2002. if folks are interested, I can post the other articles as well. I retained the copyrights, so no problem.

Hey Nosler, what is the availability on the new Nosler Solids?
I saw the new ad in the SCI Awards issue.
What are the bore sizes and weights?

Anybody have an opinion on this brass?
It is time to replace my 6.5-'06 brass, and I am thinking of Nosler or Lapua. I use mostly W-W now and some Federal. I started with 400 new Red W .25-'06 cases, and most of them are now dying of neck splitting disease (I think I bought into a lot that had...
I have a new Ruger Hawkeye in .300 RCM that I have been breaking in by running the bolt, putting the safety on and off and dry firing. This is tedious stuff, but it sure works to get a rifle ready for shooting. I have ordered ammo, but I don't know when that will arrive.
On a whim I got out my...
This is the story behind the Cape buff photo I posted in the favorite game animal thread, so as requested I am adding the details. The whole shooting match ran in African Hunter in 2003.

Folks,
I know you guys shoot up a lot of barrels testing bullets. What have you found out about the service life of actions used to test fire your bullets? What parts go first, and what finishes your actions from duty?...thanks...jim
Folks,
I posted a picture of my buck and a short description of the shot in my thread under Nosler Custom Ammunition. The weather was too good this year, November was like September this year!

Guys,
My order came this week (165 AB, 165 NP and 180 NP), wow this is some good looking ammo. My rifle is being built now, I can already tell I will have trouble from my wife about shooting it (she has an '06 too). ;)
Nice work, and the custom labels are a nice touch.

Howdy ya'll,
I have a new Ruger African Hawkeye rifle in .375 Ruger sitting here looking at me. I have some Hornady factory ammo coming, but it is not here yet.
Meanwhile I have been thinking about ammo sources. Will Ruger add this cartridge to the line?
thanks...jim
Howdy Nosler,
Do you sell the ML bullets as seconds (when you have them, natch)? I didn't find a category for the ML bullets on the bullet size page that leads to the bullet prices.
thanks...jim
