Anyone here own a M1910 Ross Rifle?

I'm gathering the dies needed to swage 30 caliber bullets to .287" for use in my Ross M1910. I'm not getting into the bullet business, but rather just planning on helping out shooters who need fat 7mm bullets for their rifles. Additionally if you happen to be a member of the...

Need QL for 224 Valkyrie w/ 88gr. Hornady ELDM

The rifle has a 20" 1/6.5" twist barrel and the COL would be 2.260" It shoots 80 gr. Berger VLDs really well, but it looks like the 88 gr. ELDM will do better at 1000 yards from a ballistics perspective. Thank you in advance. John

    Weird 7mm Mag load

I live in a rural area outside of Eugene with a such a huge excess of does that ODFW has a controlled hunt for the area. I try to limit the noise when putting meat into the freezer combined with a need for a DRT shot placement, which has lead to some interesting hunting loads over the years. My...

    Alliant 300 MP in 22 K-Hornet Results

I've been meaning to do this for a long time and finally loaded up some ammo to answer my nagging questions. I'm using 13.2 gr. 300 MP with the 40 gr. Nosler Varmageddon at 2926 fps out of a 22" barrel in my 22 Hornet with excellent results. Trying 300MP in my CPC reworked Ruger 77/22 VHZ 22...

    Range Trip - 270 Winchester - 150gr. LRAB & RL-26

I dipped into my last bottle of RL26 to see how it performed in the 24" barrelled Remington 700. This rifle has displayed sub-MOA accuracy with the 95 gr. TTSX and 130 gr. NBT bullets. The load tried today used some 150 LRAB bullets I traded for seated at 3.492" OAL which has a .020" jump...

    .277" 95gr. TTSX - Surprising results in a 270 Winchester

I purchased a large quantity of Barnes 95 gr. TTSX bullets from a commercial loaded years ago for use in my 6.8 SPC, only to find out they wouldn't cycle when loaded with AA2200 (the optimum powder). Then a couple weeks ago I stumbled onto a Remington M700 270 with a matte finish and wood...

    Bought a rifle today....

It was crafted by Larry Brace from the Eugene, who passed away about 10 years ago. Larry was one of the founding members of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild ACGG and from this rifle it's easy to see why. The action is Husqvarna and the caliber is 7x57mm

    221 FB QL Data Request

I'm a believer that there isn't a free lunch so to say, and that higher than expected velocities come with higher than expected pressures. I worked up the the Hodgdon maximum load and the accuracy was improving as the charge weight was increased. At 16 gr. the primers still looked normal, but...

    45-70 Quickload request

Looking for QL data for the 45-70 using the 350 gr. Barnes TSX FB loaded to 2.800" and a MAP of 31000psi IMR 3031 would be my first choice, but have a good selection of powder to choose from. Much appreciated.

How many 338 Federal shooters here?

One has recently come into my possession and has made a couple range trips. No earth shattering results as yet, but the 210 NPAR is looking promising. It looks like Leverevolution is going to generate the highest velocities and Varget is in the lead for accuracy. In the old days a big bore...
