This is the 15th video of a series put out by Little Crow Gunworks. I watched most of them when I had a flu and found it very interesting, he has a different way of thinking than I was used to. He talks about hit probability and how the 22 Nosler ends up being a great training rifle that mimics...
From 46.5" down to 12". Not the result I expected but it makes sense. Looks like 16-20" gets all the performance possible out of a 22 LR probably because all the powder is burned in those lengths like he mentioned.
This is data from Berger for their 170 gr EOL in the 6.8 Western. Those of you that have experience with Vihtavouri powders in similar rounds which would you try first? I was thinking of N 560 or N 565, N 568 and N 570 look like they get more speed but get compressed. I wonder if the two slower...
I was surprised to hear this and I wouldn't have any interest myself but I bet there's a few of you that would get one if they do it. Will be a flatliner that's for sure. Not sure how long a barrel would last though. I would have thought a 7mm-300 would have been more likely.
Really interesting interview with Adam Weatherby on how things are going. He goes into some more detail on their move to Wyoming and says that they have doubled in size since moving. Talks about how they had to adapt in order to be successful especially in the last few years of trying to source...

Numerous offenses in BC and Alberta. They got fines of $6500 in BC and $25,000 in Alberta along with a 1 year suspension. Should have been harsher penalties but at least we know about them now.

I'll try to update this with pictures at some point but thought you might like this recipe for deer liver. Can be used for elk or moose etc too of course. A big favorite in our household. This recipe is easily modified for your personal taste so please update this thread if you do so we can try...
I had a LH Tikka T3x rebarreled to 6.8 Western. Barrel is a Canadian made KS Arms stainless 1 in 8 twist with a slightly heavier contour than the 300 WSM barrel the gun came with. Had it out a second time today and shot it at 325 yards to fine tune the scope. It's holding at around MOA so far...
Any reason to load something like a 85 gr Sierra or Speer 90 gr TNT or just stay with deer loads? Not super interested in keeping hides but with a head on shot into the chest would you expect the bullet not to exit with the lighter bullets? Any other options I should be aware of? Might get a 204...
Not the Model 70's some were looking for but still an option for us lefties.

I have had an 8 weight Echo SR switch rod for over a year now so can give a solid review now about it. The short version is it works very well and I'm quite pleased with it. The SR stands for switch rod, I always used a single hand fly rod for salmon but now have sold everything else since it...
Saw it on Friday night and it was very powerful. It makes you very uncomfortable and unsettled which is good, spent a lot of time in tears while watching. Unlike the "woke" who virtue signal lets get behind this and make some real change and conquer this evil. All this is being exposed so we...
Found a really good sale on the regular black stock Stevens 301 shotguns ($179.99 CAD). Game will be primarily grouse and turkey when my wife and I move to the Southern Interior. They come with modified chokes but we can buy extra full turkey chokes for any of them. Out of the .410, 20 and 12...
Looks like we are moving to the southern interior of BC this summer or early fall if everything falls in place. Been wanting to hunt turkey for years and apparently there are some where we are planning to move. I have a light weight 12 gauge 2 3/4" single shot Baikal shotgun that had been...
Not sure if I shared this one with you yet. Haven't gone shooting since probably October so this wasn't too bad with how things turned out. The 140 G.S. load is the one I used to load in the late 1990's and into the 2000's and was pleased to see this new rifle seems to like it.
My hunting...

Someone else posted this on another forum. Some interesting insights on the last few years. Looks like primers are the big hold up these days.
