I haven't hunted for last many years and hope to spend time in the woods this year.
I need to load up ammo for the 260 (same as the 6.5 creedmore of course). Wondered if some of you
would be willing to share info on your favorite loads?
Hodgdon recommends taking max loads for H4895 powder and multiplying by 0.6 to get the minimum amout of powder that can be safely used to develope a reduced powder load. If anyone has tried this what was your expeience with it?
I am interested in developing a recuded load in a 243 for my...

Anyone use a 105 grain A max bullet in a 1:10 twist 243 rifle to hunt white tailed deer? Does it stabilize it? The bullet box label says for a 1:9 twist. ????
Got plenty of these loaded up for hunting but am thinking I would do better with the 12 gauge and some, maybe, coyote loads for the beaver. Will likely have to shoot them while swimming ....... thinking it will be very unlikely to catch them sitting still for the 260 rifle. I know I could...
My 8 pound can of IMR 4350 is about empty. I need to replace it.
Since Hodgen owns both is their any difference between the two.
I have never used H 4350 but considering getting it. Appreciate any
and all input from those who have used the two.
using a comparator to reload 160 AB in Rem cases. Length varies from 3.252 to 3.259. Goal is 3.255. Is this excessive variation. What range are some of you getting with your loads? Thanks. Al
My son in law and I went to the rifle range this morning. He shot the 22 for a bit at the "metal paddle flippers" at about 20 yards. Didn't miss a one. Moved it out to about 35 yards ... same thing.
So he grabbed my 7mm Short Action Ultra Mag and proceeded to put about 10 shots in a group that...
My Christmas present from my children was a "Hornady Lock and Load Sonic Cleaner".
Could someone explain to me how these gadgets are suppose to clean. I am learning how to use it. Have used it twice. Will report on it after I have used it more. It just seems to be sitting there buzzing. Interior...
Has anyone checked the weight variation on the blemished bullets from Shooters Pro Shop? Is the variation any greater then the unblemished ones sold in boxes in the stores?
Which oils does your experience indicate are good to use on guns & which do you feel should not be used? And why. I hear a wide range of comments from a good synthetic motor oil to wilson's ultima-lube. Would you please share your thought's?
Looking to buy at least 8 lbs. Individual 1 lb. cans will cost $3 per Lb. more than bulk purchase in 8 lb can. Will the life of the individual 1 lb cans be longer than 8 lb can since powder in the 8 lb can will be exposed to air once the top is removed? Which would you buy and why? Thanks for...
Nosler manual calls for 58.5 to 62.5 grains. Velocity listed is 2946 for the 60.5 and density volume is shown as 96%. My remington cases will hold exactly 120 grains, filled full. This is a long way from 96%. Would you anticipate any problems with the cases filled to a tad over 50%. How can the...
Was wondering if anyone has sent a fired piece of brass in and ordered a set of the Hornady Custom Dies that are supposedly made to the dimensions of the fired brass. If so what did you think of them?
I have a 22-250 AI and a 260 that I want to use either Win 760 or H 414 powder in. My interest is the pros and cons of each when comparing them.
Temperature sensitivity
cost
barrel heating
I priced powder at the local shop today.
760 @ $26/lb @40 grs =175 loads /lb = $0.1486 each or $14.86 /...
