    Sako High Power Mauser

I actually already have one of these fairly rare Sakos, from the 1950s. I decided I might treat myself to a new toy and as I began looking for anything that might suit my fancy, I sure enough came across another very similar to the one I had and figured they might make a nice set. A couple of...

    Good deal on L/E M70 (2008)

Tough to find a NIB price that would beat this: http://www.gunsamerica.com/903651674/Gu ... IN_MAG.htm

    Decided on new rifle

I'm just back from a family vacation where we had a 300# (est) black bear walk by our cabin in the Smokies as I cooked some killer rib-eyes. Very good primer for my Maine bear hunt, 6 weeks, hence. I had a messge, when I returned that someone was wanting my Encore, which would then allow me to...

    Cryin' in my beer!

I know it's still a little early, but it is a Sunday and I am broken-hearted! I was doing my normal "new today" searches on both GunsAmerica and Guns International when something caught my eye. I waited perhaps 5 mins wondering if I should check with the wife before buying (she's out shopping...

    Medium and big Bores

This is a line-up of my medium and big bore rifle cartridges. Take a gander and see if you can figure what they are. (hint, four of them are actually the same caliber)

    Gummy Family

I'll call this one the "Gummy Group". These are all factory Hornady loads in the LeverEvolution line. Whatcha think?

Cartridge families long and short of it

These should be a tad easier to identify. They all, within each family, share a common case and are simply various different calibers on that common case.

    Cartridge families

**This may not be the correct topic spot, feel free to move or trash** Here are a couple of cartridge photos. They are all from rifles I now own or only recently got rid of. They are what I'd call cartridge families of one type or another. One is a group of SM cartridges and one a grouping of...

    Leupold VX-R scopes

Moderators, if this product has already been reviewed here, feel free to dump this one. Leupold's new VX-R series seems to be a follow-on to an earlier series they marketed here in the states that was built to European specs, their European 30mm series. I happen to have two of those scopes, one...

270gr JFN from .44 mag Carbine

These are a couple of Speer 270gr JFN Gold Dots (now called Deep Curl, I believe). Taken out of a very large boar (400+). Bullet #1 from against the vertebra, rt side of neck and #2 taken from the rt shoulder. Both found when the boar was caped. The shoulder shot/bullet never even bled as it did...
