Fired into milk jugs at 25 yards, muzzle velocity approx 3020, found in the bottom of the third jug, remaining jacket/core weighs 64.4 grains.

Yup, one robust bullet. I recovered one from the jugs after being launched from my 280 AI at 3400 fps.

I never did a jug test with them, but when my wife had a 7-08 we took a pile of deer with them. I loved that little package.

I'm loading the 120 with Varget and can't wait to try it out on something after hearing success stories with that bullet.

Last November, I took a 130 lb whitetail doe at about 70yds using this bullet over 48g of IMR4007SSC for about 3100 FPS. I was sitting at the bottom of a creek gully. She was above me, up a 20 degree slope. Caught her right behind the point of shoulder broadside. The bullet exited about 6 inches below her spine. It destroyed both lungs and broke her back, she dropped like she was hit with Mjölnir (the Hammer of Thor). It took me about a minute to get to her, and she wasn't breathing. It left about a 1.5- 1" hole on the opposite side. Didn't mess up too much meat. I don't know what would have happened if I had to go through the shoulder blade though. Needless to say I will be using the same combo this year.

This past Saturday11/15/14 Took a nice buck at 80yds he never moved. 48g IMR4007SSC@3100fps Will add photos of entrance / exit asap

Former?/ occasional poster here "Bob from TX" ( I believe) has taken a ton of game with that combo as I recall. Scary accurate as well. CL

That would've put a smack down on that deer quite quickly. Very graphic and very comforting for those who don't particularly enjoy tracking a deer.

Thanks for posting. Looking for a load for my 7x57 for deer. Think I found it.
Did some research, if you use IMR4007SSC starting load is 42.5g with max load at 47.2g
