My impact media was 4 1 liter pop bottles filled with frozen water and a 2x2 box filled with loose sand for a final bullet trap. Muzzle velocity is 2960 and impact media was at a distance of 20 or so yards. I recovered the bullet 2/3 into the loose sand box. I washed and weighed the bullet and it came in 141.0 grains which is 64% weight retention. Not to bad if I ever have to shoot a frozen elk.

Looks good. That will hunt.

I remember reading good things about that bullet a long time ago.

Well, it can get mighty cold in elk parts, though it is questionable that you would actually need to shoot a frozen elk. Great performance of the bullet, Bill.

The bulet help up great on that stress test!

I think I stressed it pretty well with out striking a shoulder bone of an elk.

Bill, man, that bullet looks like a keeper! That is the kind of performance I would want/expect out of a 220 8mm bullet! Very awesome test!

Like Jim said, that is a torture test and it help up perfect.. I can see where the big Interlocks were pretty sought after in the day.. That is a serious elk load.
