Rifle season opens here tomorrow and the first gun in the rotation is the .264 with the 130 Accubonds. Can't wait to see how it works on deer. We just found out we will be crop sniping again in 2008 so I will get some real long range kills on it. Wish me luck. reflex264

Good luck Reflex

Please let us know how they work.

Big doe at 280 yards. One shot. Dropped in her tracks. Hit high- my fault but completely cut the back in half. Bullet exited. Large channel up to spine.
Score on 1 to 10 scale
penetration-10
accuracy----10 (unless I do something stupid)
tissue damage-10

I paln to shoot several deer with it and will post as I shoot them. reflex264

You ruined BACKSTRAPS???

Goodness man . What were you thinking!

Congrats on the hunt. Looks like your favorite rifle is continuing to prove itself an awesome deer taking machine!

The back straps were a tragedy!!!!!!!!!! I went out this evening and killed a bigger doe with my 68 model 444T. No problem with the straps this time. We skinned and cut 4 deer today counting that last one. I am tired but had a great day. reflex264

My Wife harvested a Buck Antelope at 290 yards & a Doe Antelope at 120
yards. Penetration & expansion was great.
This was with a 6.5x55 at 2,850 MV with 3/4" accuracy. I think this is a perfect all round bullet.

I took 2 antelope this year using the 264 and 120 BT's. Great performance. 8)

I agree wholeheartedly. We are going to set up an experiment after deer season and hopefully have a well known gunwriter present. He is working a 6.5 Wildcat at present. Having someone with his credentials present while showing the .264 130 AccuBond shooting flatter than any bullet out of any cartridge I know of is going to be interesting. reflex264
