If my stash of IMR4350 was a milkshake, you’d be hearing the slurping sound as this milkshake is nearly all gone.

I do have several pounds of H4831 and some recently acquired 180 grain Accubonds and it got me thinking back. A late friend of mine used to shoot two loads in his trusty Ruger M77 Mk2, a 165 AccuBond with IMR4350 and the 180 grain AccuBond with H4831, I believe he used 59 or 60 grains.

If I can get them to shoot I would be glad to add H4831 to the list of go-to powders for the .30-06. Does anyone here have any experience with this load?

I have used it, switched to Rl 22. My data will be in an old log book I’ll need to find but i recall i liked it well enough. I’ll look this afternoon see what I can find.

I dont own a 30-06, wish I did. What I know is H4831 is one of the most widely used powders that works. Temp stable and consistent.
I didn’t either for a long time. It grew on me some. Especially with the newer, longer bullets and powders that boot em. It’s fairly fun to be honest. I call my 212 ELD load at 2710 a Creedmore with some guts:p
