350 rem mag with TAC

Bill,

I have to agree wiith you on that. I have the ballistic twin, the sailen' Whelen.
The more I load and shoot it, the more I like it.

I have both a 350 RM and a 35 Whelen. Either will deliver the goods, of that I am certain.

Without a doubt. Love those two 35's. Excellent cartridges that do alot of stuff well. Don't sell them short, with the right optics set up, they will reach out too... They aren't RUM's by any stretch, but they will get there and I am pretty sure they will hammer whatever they hit!

Old thread but always like to add to it. My 350 RM has a long throat, I built it on a pre-64 model 70. My favorite load has been 61 grains of RL 15 and the 225 AccuBond at 2800 fps. My barrel is 24 inches

Yes sir. It’s about my favorite as well! Great rifle buddy. Looks like a hammer!

In my 1969 Rem 700BDL with 24"bbl, 225gn Sierra & 59.0gns IMR4320 produced 2705fps. 200gn HP & 56.0gns RL10X produced 2851fps.After trying many powders those are my best combinations for those bullet weights.

It is most definitely a beautiful rifle. I’ve been thinking of my next project using .358 bullets and necking up WSM brass. I’ve read some great reports on those that have done it. They have some very nice loads using the 225gr Partitions and 250gr Hot Cor bullets over RL17, or IMR4895. Don’t know that I’d ever hunt anything that needs that big of a hammer though.
