Well, I think I finally found a really good load with the 225gr GK's. I used WW cases, W748, CCIBR2's and the Sierra GK 225. I got 2450FPS out of them and I have a good foundation to start work with the 225gr PT, which is going to be the last load I used for the 358 Win, unless Nosler releases a 200gr AB! Anyhow, I also tried Varget, which had good speed, but the accuracy was off a little. AA2520 had good speed also, but again, the groups weren't there. W748 really had a good combo of both and 2450 with the 225's is all I am looking for.. Scotty

Good stuff, Scotty. There is nothing wrong with a 225 grain GK launched from the 358. It would do a right smart smack down on most game in NA.

Yeah, I am very happy with the Browning. Wished I could adjust the trigger weight down some, but it still shoots pretty well for hunting purposes and I think with either the Sierra or Nosler it will do fine. Just never really got around to getting serious with it and it really seemed to come into its own with W748 for speed and accuracy. Scotty

Scotty,

Looking good! You're set to go for anything in NA.
The 225 gr SGK always shot very well in my 35 Whelen too.

I would give it a whirl, It hammers deer. Granted, I have only shot one deer with it, back when I was using iron sights and Varget, but looking at it now, it was going 2400+ and flopped the deer with a nice even quarter sized hole and no real meat damage. Pretty good deer bullet and probably okay for bigger game also? Scotty
