I know they re-tooled a while back so the newer --580-- plus serial numbered guns should be more accurate.

I've had the opportunity to shoot a couple at a law enforcement demos. Granted, this was not off bags on a bench, but my impression is they might be better but not anywhere close to AR accuracy yet.
Home defense, plinking, etc., they would do fine. If pinpoint accuracy is the goal, look elsewhere.

I had a chance to shoot one of the 16" NRA commemorative models off of a rest and it put 3 shots in roughly an inch at 100 yards. I only shot it that one time but it was a pleasant surprise! I just picked up one with the standard 18" barrel but haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet. I'll let you know when i do!
