I'll stay away from the really big bores in the encore pistol barrels. I have a 15" encore pistol in 454 casull with a TC Muzzle Tamer that doesn't tame it when shooting winchester 260 grain Partition gold ammo or any other ammo.The 15" 30-06 encore barrel with a muzzle brake from http://www.probed2000.com does work very well.

Have a buddy who swears by his .30-06 Encore for mountain hunting. He's done real well with it too.
I'll stick with my .500 S&W for my biggest and baddest revolver. It churns up nearly 1600 fps with my 440 grain handloads. That's plenty for me. :shock:

I get 1200 fps from mine (700 grain slug) ! Ouch!
