Gaboon ebony….too much?

Traded some other wood I had for a piece of gaboon ebony. It’ll live a happy life on my desk..that is until I’m less enamored with it and drag it to the woods. Either way, this one is a keeper!

Are you keeping it because of the beauty or because it works so well? They are attractive, to be sure.
