Got my donor

Picked up my donor today. M70 Stainless Classic BOSS in 270 Win. Came with a Bausch and Lomb 3000 5-15X50. I will be putting a Pac-Nor tube on it 1-8" chambered in 6-284. My question for you guys is what rifling should I go with 3, 5R, Poly or 6 groove? I might wait a while to see if the powder supply calms down. I can get plenty of 270 ammo.

Great news, Jake. As to rifling, I'll defer to those who hold stronger opinions. Each has something to offer in your case.

Good going Jake! 1 in 9 for 90-100gr. or a 1 in 8 for the 105s and 107s. My 6-284 is a 1-9 twist and loves 90 to 100gr bullets. It carries a 26" Pac-Nor 5 groove.

That's really not a slow pace. Been quite rapid in my eyes. Two classic and a Pre-64. Pretty soon I'm gonna have to get a group shot.

For a stock I think I'm gonna go with a Fixed A5 Micky. I don't know what I'm going to do for eyes but it will be dang good. Maybe a Night Force something along those lines. I've also been looking at a Steiner and a guy has to throw a Schmidt and Bender in there too.
